In my last project post I posted a part listing. That has changed.. Mostly, not much. But here’s an update:
Case: Corsair Carbide 540 (Got)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-OC (Got)
CPU: Intel i7 4770k (Got)
GPU: Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X 4GB (Got)
Thermal Paste: Arctic Cooling MX4 (Got)
RAM: G-Skill Ripjaw X 8Gb (On the way)
SSD: Samsung 128Gb Evo (Above)
HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda (Above)
PSU: Corsair AX760 Professional 80+ Platinum Fully Modular (Above)
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 (Above)
Operating System: Windows 8 (To be 8.1) – Got
Decided to go for the Noctua because of it’s reviews and the fact I didn’t want an AIO for this phase of the build. The rest because of various bits of research and just wanting them, probably could have done better but not too badly.
I’ll dump a pic of all the parts when I’ve got them all, then will document the build process. A fair bit to remember.
OH! Would like to thank AMD for free Battlefield 4, nice touch.
